San Diego Super Chargers !!!!

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

After two heart breaking losses, the Chargers finally got there first win of the season last night. Watch out folks, if I’m not mistaking, they started out 0-2 last year and finished the season at 14-2. The Chargers looked very impressive in their 48-29 win over Favre and the New York Jets. My game ball goes to Darren Sproles… Take note all you waker’s, Darren is about the same size as you, 5′6 180lbs. sproles.jpg

WE ARE BAAAACK…

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

I’m home!!!! It is the best feeling ever. While I was away though, some amazing events took place. First off, the entire LF crew was in Orlando, FL for Surf Expo. Once again, LF has the most diverse and for lack of words, most awesomeness line ever. Just wait until you see what we have in store for 2009. I am sure within the next few days, some images of the new line will leak onto the WWW, but be sure to check out www.liquidforce.com in the next month or so to view the entire 2009 line for yourself. It is amazing!!!

The Wakeboarding Magazine Wake Awards was another huge event that took place last Friday night. For the 3rd time in 4 years, Liquid Force won Manufacture of the Year, which pretty much says Liquid Force is the most bad ass brand in the entire world… Danny Hampson won Wakeskate Video Performance for Volume Wakeskate #8, if you haven’t already seen it, be sure to check it out. Young LF ripper Harely Clifford won the On Point Award, which is the best up and comer. Phillip Soven accepted his large check for winning King of Wake two years in a row now. I have a feeling we may have a three-peat in a year from now. And Silas Thurman and James Balzer got voted best dressed by topping off there already amazing suits with custom Liquid Force ties.

That’s it for now, TTYL

Is it Really Over?

Monday, September 8th, 2008

This past weekend the WWA Wakeboard World Championships took place, which to me kind of signifies the end of the wakeboard season. Team Liquid Force ended the season on a high note… In the Pro Men’s division, Phillip Soven placed 3rd and Shawn Watson placed 5th. Phillip, I know you wanted that World title really bad, but you can’t win every event. How many did you win this year? I think it was something like 45 out of 47 contests.. You have to let the other guys win every once in a while, we all know you are still the world’s greatest wakeboarder. Congratulations on your King of the Wake crown!!! Your next award will be the 2008 Rider of the Year award. Melissa Marquardt finished in 3rd and Shelby Kantar took the 5th spot in Pr Women, excellent job ladies!!! In the Jr. Men’s division, LF took 3 of the top 4 spots with Raphael Derome in 2nd, Harley Clifford in 3rd, and Robert “Bob” Soven in 4th. The new generation of LF rider’s is really going to take the world by storm in year’s to come. On that note, in the Jr. Boys division, which is 9 and under, LF rider Ben Watts dominated the rest of the field taking 1st place. Two up and coming Maven Ladies, Megan Blaschka and Danni Petraitis finished in 2nd and 3rd spot in Jr. Women.

Next stop, Surf Expo in Orlando. Hopefully we wont all get blown away by a hurricane.

Fuel TV Hits the Wake

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

fuel-bbq.JPGThis past Thursday, Melissa Marquardt, Shelby Kantar, and Daniel Doud were in town to take the Fuel TV staff out for a pull on the Carlsbad Lagoon. break-time.JPG Erik Hemans from Fuel helped to put the day together and take some of the Fuel staff out for a pull. Most of the people attending had never wakeboarded before, but with the incredible instruction of team Liquid Force, just about everyone got up with a smile on there face and got to experience wakeboarding for there first time. shred.JPG From the sounds of things, I think there will be a few returning wakeboarders to the lagoon in the near future. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day happen, it was a blast!!!!
