JUST FOR THE LOVE OF THE SPORT

I was at the Carlsbad Lagoon yesterday to check in on the progress of a photo shoot. It was not your typical sunny and 75 degree day that you tend to expect in Southern California, it was actually overcast, misting, and windy. A few of the guys I was with were complaining a bit about the weather and how they weren’t wanting to ride because the weather was not ideal. Then up from the dock comes Steve, not sure if that is his name or not, but Steve was stoked to be out on the water and wakeboarding for one reason, because he loves it!!! Steve bought his board $5 at a swap meet, little did he know that the board he was riding was an original LF board from 1995 and as far as I am concerned, a wake fan collectors item. Big ups to “Steve” for riding for that one reason, no matter what the conditions are, because he loves to wakeboard!!!
