WAHOO’S FISH TACO RESTAURANTS HOST A PARTY TO CELEBRATE 21ST BIRTHDAY
Locations Statewide Offer Free Food and Prizes to Thank Customers
SANTA ANA, Calif. (Nov. 12, 2009) – Wahoo’s Fish Taco, a community mainstay and worldwide pop culture
phenomenon since 1988, is turning 21. During the more than two decades, their customers have become an
extension of the Wahoo’s family, and to show their appreciation the company will be throwing a birthday party.
The founders are hosting a celebration at each of their 38 California Wahoo’s locations. All four Northern
California Wahoo’s located in Cupertino, Fresno, Palo Alto and San Jose will open their doors on Saturday,
Nov. 21 at 11 a.m. and begin handing out presents to customers for their loyal support. To thank the
community, each attendee will receive a gift from Wahoo’s, ranging from free meals to gift cards. Additionally,
the first 21 guests will receive a goodie bag, which will include items from some of their friends in the action
sports industry including Famous Stars and Straps, Tony Hawk Inc., 900 films, Jakks Toys, Liquid Force, and
Tilly’s.
“Everyone who visits their local Wahoo’s to celebrate our milestone will get a present from us,” shared
Wing Lam, co-founder of Wahoo’s. “From the complimentary meal to great prizes like Wahoo’s gift cards, we
wanted to give our loyal customers something to say thank you. The past 21 years have been amazing and the
founders are expressing their gratitude to everyone.”
During the past two decades, Wahoo’s has perfected its eclectic Mexican/Brazilian/Asian menu
delivered with a Hawaiian North Shore vibe. Its signature fish taco, which hasn’t changed since day one, has
become a favorite among the restaurant’s loyal customers—and a catalyst for the restaurant’s continued
expansion. In just over two decades, the founders have opened more than 50 Wahoo’s and with each new
location have opened their family to the surrounding community.
“The Norcal Wahoo’s are excited about the birthday party and are thrilled to celebrate with our
customers,” continued Lam. “The restaurant will be decorated—complete with balloons and streamers. The day
will be one big party honoring our extended family of Wahoo’s loyalists.”
