$15,000 Prize Purse

On April 22-25 Texas Ski Ranch will be hosting the Chorpus Christi Pro as part of the Texas International Boat Show. This unique wakeboard tournament will showcase some of the top wakeboarders in the world as they compete for a $15,000 cash purse. Unlike most events TSR hosts, the Corpus Christi Pro will not be pulled by a MasterCraft X-Star or Rixen Cable system. Because the event is held in the Marina we will be using Sea Doo watercraft to pull the wakeboarders over ramps made specifically for this event. The setting proved to be challenging but also very rewarding due to the close proximity to the crowd that can line up on all sides of the course.

In 2009, LF’s Tom Fooshee and Gabe Lucas out distanced the competition to win the largest portion of the prize money. This year with twice the money we expect more national and international riders to travel in for the event. Tom and Gabe will have the experience this year but with the expanded field of riders they will have their work cut out for them if they wish to repeat. The Texas International Boat Show, presented by American Bank, will take place from April 22nd–25th, 2010, at the Corpus Christi Downtown Marina.
