Empire Wake’s Collegiate Wake Series Championship

Put on your cowboy hat and bring your boots, Austin Texas is showcasing the top 16 college wakeboard teams in the country! In just one year, Empire Wake has changed the world of college wakeboarding and given it a face, a name, and a national championship that will have one team yellin’ YeeHaw!
On April 15th Austin will come alive with wakeboarders from every corner of the country to compete in a bracket style, head to head format much like the sweet 16 of the NCAA March Madness. Each team will bring their top 8 riders to score a combined team total. The team with the highest score moves on to the next round and the loser is on shore watching!

Don’t let that fool you though. There is so much going on all weekend that there is no reason to go home early. Shadowbox is hosting a big air double up contest for the riders going the biggest, and Red Bull some after parties you’re sure to forget.

Texas Ski Ranch has their hands in this event as well. Friday is open to all Collegiate Wake Series riders free of charge from 6pm ‘til we can’t pull anymore. There will be a huge party open to everyone who wants to attend offering live music, a bikini contest and giveaways.

Every evening will bring social events downtown for all the riders to get together and make some new friends. We teamed up with the one company that knows how to do this best: RED BULL.

Big thanks for Liquid Force, the only board company to step up and support these collegiate teams in their championship run. They will be hooking up the winning team with some gear to take home and help grow there club to an even better level in 2010.
