3rd Annual Beach Day 4 The Kids
This July, the Liquid Force crossover team had the opportunity of a life time to participate in the 3rd annual “Beach Day 4 The Kids” in Seminole, Florida. The “Beach Day” is an event in which children from a local orphanage come out for a day full of watersports, music and festivities. Professional Kiteboarder and instructor Mike Hall set up the event after meeting the director of a local children’s home four years ago, and it has been hosted annually ever since.
This year, more than fifty children from the home came out to enjoy wakeboarding, paddleboarding, jet skiing, tubing and a short demo from the crossover team. Forte’s Inboard Connection and All American Watersports Camp brought out two boats, one equipped with a barefoot boom, making it possible so that all the kids could learn to ride and do some tubing.
Mike organized the event centered around the watersports and activities he loves with the goal of making it possible for others to enjoy them too. With such a fun focus for the event, many members of the Tampa Bay Watersports community quickly offered their help to make sure the day ran smoothly. With over twenty volunteers, the kids were able to have a great time on and off the water.
Special thanks to the Action Sports Foundation, Bill Lynch (Lynch Associates CEO), Dan O’Connell (Vestar Capital, CEO), Watersports West, Watermonkey Shop, the staff and kids from The Children’s Home and all of the volunteers who came out to make this day possible.
