Official Press Relase from TSR - May 15th, 2008
The 6th annual TSR Cablestock is now over and we can all take a minute to take a breather and reflect on the best TSR event ever. Things started to get hectic on April 15th when TSR received the winning design in Liquid Force's Design a rail contest. The dedicated team of cable operators then began construction of what is now known as "The Iceberg". Brett Hileman from Phoenix, AZ won the design contest with a double-sided banked wall ride with a center rainbow. It's been done at snow parks and just took Brett's inspiration to get us to build at TSR. The structure was finished Monday before Cablestock, just in time as Don Wallace and 6 of the LF team members (Shane, Collin, Henshaw, Tom Fooshee, Aaron Reed and Danny Hampson) were arriving and ready to session it. After being picked up in the LF RV and a helicopter ride at TSR, Brett and the LF team experienced a private night session that may have been the most fun in the entire weekend.
Mad props to the LF guys and Bret for making this contest turn out better than anyone expected!

End of TSR Press Release - May 15, 2008
AND NOW TO THE WINNERS...
We want to thank all of you that turned in one of the many great designs we've received. We received over 100 entries! There were some duplicates and some CRAZY designs, but they all were fun to check out. The crew at LF and TSR had a tough time choosing the top 3 because all entries were great. In the end, it came down to choosing a winning rail that would be easy for all abilities to hit and would be different than anything else on the water at TSR. We chose something that a beginner could hit and one that Shane, Henshaw, Collin, and Tom could all have fun ripping on! There were some GREAT designs that we were unable to build due to cost but who knows... they may show up at TSR in the future. After some debating, we were able to narrow it down to the following winners:
1st Place - Brett Hileman from Phoenix, AZ
Brett's rail was chosen because it was something that many of us have wanted to build but just never did... a double sided banked wall ride with a center rainbow. It's been done at snow parks and just took Brett's inspiration to get us to build at TSR. Look for photos of this rail to appear on our site soon, as well as in the pages of WakeBoarding Magazine.
For his efforts, Brett will receive an all expense paid trip to TSR for 2008 Cablestock to hang with the LF Pro Riders and to watch the unveiling of his “Signature Rail”. He'll also receive a Grind Base LF/TSR Witness board.
2nd Place - Jonathan Smartt from Texas
Jonathon went crazy... he sent us over 15 designs! The ones that intrigued us the most were his banked C rail, banked S Rail, and Banked Y rail. All of these were great designs but were a bit too limiting for some abilities. These designs have appeared in some parks in Germany and at most snowboard parks... give them some time and they'll be at TSR and other US parks, as well.
For Jonathon's efforts, he'll be receiving a Grind Base LF/TSR Witness board.
3rd Place - Jeff Christensen from Salt Lake City, UT
Jeff's rail was a banked S Rail. While this is not something completely unique or innovative, it was BY FAR our most popular submission. We had over 15 people turn this type of design in. Our pro's were stoked on it, as well. Unfortunately it is a bit too expensive and would be tough for the average rider to hit. Again... give it some time and this rail will appear at one if not all of the US parks. Since Jeff was the first one to submit this design, he was our pick for 3rd place ahead of the other 14 of you that entered this type of rail.
For Jeff's efforts, he's won 2 pairs of LF Board shorts!
Thanks again to everyone that entered. We hope you all had a good time designing your rail. Look for more fun contests like this in the future from LF and TSR!
