Chase Huechtker Foundation, Chasing the Wake is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness surrounding the epidemic of opioid overdose and reducing the stigma associated with mental health and substance use disorders. We are committed to working with communities and programs to educate parents and children about the dangers of opioids including Fentanyl. We promote prevention through education, offer care and compassion for individuals and families struggling with active addiction and support those in recovery by promoting wakeboarding as a healthy outlet.

Chasing the Wake Memorial Event is our annual fundraiser and an afternoon of fun for the whole family that takes place on June 23, 2024 from 4:00-8:00 at SouthTown Wake Park in Rock Hill, SC. The event is an afternoon of fun that includes food trucks, music, local vendors, discounted wakeboarding and aqua park tickets, 21 foot slide for kids, and friendly wakeboarding competitions.

Proceeds will be used to continue our mission of educating parents and children and preventing overdose. We are looking for goods, services, and/or monetary donations which will be used for our silent auction and raffle at our event.

Chasing the Wake 3rd Annual Event was on June 23, 2024. Around 300 attendees spent the afternoon at SouthTown Wake Park enjoying food trucks, vendors, raffles, and an inflatable slide for the kids. A variety of items were raffled off to raise money to support the Chase Huechtker Foundation, Chasing the Wake, including a Liquid Force wakeboard set up. In addition to the event being an annual fundraiser, it is also to educate and prevent addiction and overdose. The event ended with wakeboarding and wake skating competitions.
