The best moment I've had on my board so far has got to be the 2022 WWA world championships where I ended up winning the Junior pro division. It was a surreal moment, and I was so thankful to have friends and family there to enjoy the occasion with!
What lessons has wake taught you?Wake has taught me to venture out of my comfort zone, explore different cultures, and to be myself. Being the only person on the carrier gives people freedom to express their personalities while riding, and that's what I love about the sport.
What does it mean to ride for LF?Since beginning to ride in 2020, I pretty quickly found idols in riders like Daniel Grant and Raph Derome, who I'd see riding Liquid Force. That's where my dream of riding for LF began, and to be living up to that now is special.
Who or what inspires you?My Family, as their enormous support has inspired me to keep dreaming big and to know that wherever I go I will have them in my corner. And my little brother Madz. Watching him ride inspires me as I know it's not long before he leaves me in his rear view mirror and goes on to be the better Talboys 😂
What do you think you are doing too much of or too little of because of wake?I think i am doing too much travelling, as it's hard to be away from my family and friends for long periods of time. But I also feel I am doing too little travelling, as there are so many places I want to see and people to meet to live out this dream of mine!
