Best Season Ever???????

Howdy LF’ers!

Damn this season went hard!   I personally felt like it was not only a very successful one with our athletes, but also a super busy one.  To me this was definitely the busiest season post covid, so definitely a great sign.  Both park and boat events were strong and our athletes representing at them were even stronger.

This week’s installment is a day late.  Reason for this is because it took some research time to compile what I am presenting to you all below. So I would just like to provide you all with some short statistical numbers from our team that I made myself.  There is a good chance I might of missed out on an event, so please take this with a grain of salt.  But regardless, this is crazy impressive of our team.  So let’s dig in:

In 2024 there were a total of 14 large scale pro park events (all men and most of them women too), 8 large scale (not including Wakefest, wake the desert….etc) wakeboard boat events (all men and half women) and 4 WWA pro surf events (women only), for a total of 28 events our athlete competed at.

In the PWT, we had a total of 6 out of 12 podium spots, which means 50% of the tour had one more podium spots with an LF rider on them.

WBWS/Nautique Wake Series featured both men and women across all those events, we had a total of 24 podium spots between both divisions and all 4 stops.  With that being said, we featured an LF rider on the podium 13 times, so a 54% of the time we covered more or 1 podium spot.

Now park is a bit more difficult because some full size events featured 2 different divisions (traditional and features only), but we are going to go ahead and factor both of those in.  So with that being said, there were 2 events with 2 divisions men’s and women’s (12 podium spots) and then 12 with only one division men’s and women’s (72 podium spots).  Of those, LF riders were on the podium 45 times (remember Wake the City was a doubles contest and we had 4 on the podium in men’s and 4 in women’s) out of a possible 84 podium spots, so 54% of the time we had an LF athlete on at least one or more podiums spots.

Lastly we have WWA Nautique surf series which was 4 events (total of 12 podium spots for just women’s with 2 divisions (surf and skim).  None of our men’s rode in this series, so hence why they are not accounted for.  Bailey carried this one entirely herself with 6 total podiums on the 4 stop series out of a total of 24 podium spots.  So one person held a 25% podium spot, which is really damn good for one person!

Now let’s do a total percentage.  Drumroll please…………LF riders were on the podium in one or more spots………………  53% of the time!  WOW!  That is insane!  I would definitely say best year yet in post covid modern day wake!  Unreal and hats off to the team!

Proud to say the least!  Well done to our team of athletes and their commitment to their passion.  I think at 53% it’s safe to say we are the best and there isn’t a chance another brand could top that!  Congrats LF!

Til the next episode!
