Happy Monday Y’all! I know that one of our slogan’s has always been “Relentless Innovation” but when it comes to the LF athlete’s it also can be known as “Relentless Domination”! because that is all our team does. Alexa please play “I’ll I do is win” by DJ Khaled. Excuse the dad comment on that one if you didn’t chuckle a little bit. So let’s see what we Relentlessly Dominate!
The Rail Yard in Ontario Canada hosted the final stop of the Professional Wakeskate League. And of course the face of wakeskating was at the very top, AGAIN! Daniel definitely earned this victory. I say that because I saw a clip of a backside biggerspin onto the hubba at the park, which is unreal! Definitely a sk8 trick of the year contender right there! Congrats again DG!
The final PWT stop, Knoxville TN – Our boys Luca Kidd, Guenther Oka and Daniel Johnson all claim awards at the final stop! And what a rad group of riders to all 3 take different awards. Luca Kidd never fell all weekend long and got to stand on box this weekend with a bronze. Luca has been hard at work filming for a full part in La Familia’s full length on top of all the demo he has been doing between RWTP and the Malibu JRT tour that it was so rad to see him hit the podium for the last PWT event. Our all terrain weapon Guenther Oka also got himself a bronze for 2024 overall PWT. This is insane when you think about it because he was out all last year, so major accomplishment for him make the overall podium in his comeback year. And then to cap it off, none other than DJ Daniel Johnson won himself the “rookie of the year” award on the PWT. Daniel had made semis at this event (winning his quarterfinal heat BTW) and finals at the event before hand, so this was no question. Not gonna lie, was texting Daniel the week before telling him that I already was claiming that he had won it already. Congrats Daniel, Luca and Guenther on an epic PWT season!
Ride with the Pro’s Beaver Creek – Across the pond over in the Neatherlands we hosted a RWTP event in Roermond. Women’s park dominator Claudia Pagnini, Frontline’s park front runner Rudy Talboys and the swag master himself Matty Muncey were all there stoking people out, hooking peeps up with tips and tricks, showing them all how to ride a wake park and of course capturing it all through LF Media Hub, the entire crew crushed it on this one. I heard this one was such a great success and we will see a recap here soon from it! Thanks LF Squad!
Last up was Eat Play Love over in Cologne Germany. Our Italian twins Chiara and Alice Virag both stood on the podium together in 2nd and 3rd. This event is one of Europe’s largest boat events and these ladies definitely hold it down as not just some of Europe’s best, but the worlds! I can only imagine the feeling of sharing a pro podium with your twin sister, a first for them I believe. And a congrats to both Virags!
And who I feel is the future of boat wakeboarding Fredrico Dal Lago, the young gun from Italy of course locked up 1st at Eat Play Love. You gotta follow @nao_sws on Insta if you don’t already. IYKYK, if not, now you know. Seriously give him a follow and a watch, he is insane! Congrats Fredrico!
Another heavy weekend for the LF team. This is the new standard for our team, so maybe lets just keep that DJ Khaled song on repeat.
Til the next episode,
